iCloud is a revolutionery over-the-air syncing software that will ensure that your content is always with you. Cork Web Design uses iCloud on a daily basis to ensure we are connected to our business and customers no matter where we are. To set up iCloud you will need an iOS enabled device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch). Once you have one of these you need to follow the below steps.
Step 1: Make sure you are running the latest version of iOS, you can update your software free of charge by connecting it to your iTunes Mac or PC and click "Check for Updates" in the device summary page. iCloud comes as standard with OSX Lion, For windows users you must download the iCloud Control Panel. iCloud email, contacts and calendars require Microsoft Outlook 2007, 2011 on windows..

Step 2: Once you have downloaded the latest version of iOS, click on "Settings" and click on "iCloud" and follow the onscreen instructions to activate your device and set up iCloud. If you skipped the set up process or want to change your iCloud settings tap the "Settings" icon on the Home Screen and select "iCloud"

Step 3: Customize your Settings. Tap the "Settings" icon and select iCloud. Tap the ON/OFF switches to enable individual iCloud Services, including Calendars, Contacts and Find my iPhone (this is a tool for locating your phone if it ever becomes missing etc. This tool allows you to remotly wipe your personal data off your device.) iCloud also comes with a free @me.com address which you can use for personal use in conjunction with your work email which is also on your device. Photo Stream is a great tool which streams up to 30 days of your photos and pushes them to all your devices. To backup your photos in full use iTunes regularly to sync your photos.

Step 4: Ensure you enable the same settings on your Mac or PC. For Mac Users you can access the iCloud control panel by clicking on the Apple Menu > System Preferences > iCloud. For windows users, you open the iCloud Control Panel and choose your options there.
